BARCELONA are reportedly worried about one aspect of any potential deal for PSG star Neymar.
Barcelona are keen to lure Neymar away from PSG and back to the Nou Camp, with the Catalan giants eager to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The La Liga giants sold Neymar to their Ligue 1 rivals two years ago after PSG triggered the forward’s £200million release clause.
The Brazil international has come to regret his decision to leave Barcelona, however.
Neymar feels he made a mistake to leave for PSG, who have failed to get anywhere near winning the Champions League since his arrival.
And, now, he could be primed to return in a transfer that would no doubt stun the footballing world.
Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, though, say that Barcelona have concerns about any potential deal.
It is claimed they are wary of angering PSG – just like they did two years ago when they came calling for Marco Verratti.
Barcelona wanted the Italy international to spruce up their midfield, regularly praising him and hinting at their interest.
Furious, PSG then retaliated by activating Neymar’s buyout clause.
The Brazil international went through with the move to France in order to escape the shadow of Lionel Messi.
Neymar was furious the day after Barcelona’s famous 6-1 Champions League win over PSG, where he starred with two goals and the winning assist.
Messi, though, was who the bulk of media outlets went with on their back – and front – pages.
And Neymar jumped ship as a result but now, two years on, may be heading back to Barcelona.
Philippe Coutinho, meanwhile, has opened the door for Neymar to join him at Barcelona this transfer window.
“I don’t know what will happen, but it’s always a source of happiness to speak about playing with him,” he said.
“He’s a player of another dimension and very important to any team he’s on.
“Nobody can deny his qualities and his massive talent, and we all know that.
“Right now, we don’t know what will happen but people are saying a lot of things.
“He’s part of the group and he has been with the group but we haven’t talked about this.”
