Zouma has returned to his parent club Chelsea after a season-long loan spell at Premier League rivals Everton.

The 24-year-old central defender played well for the Toffees, making 29 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Everton manager Marco Silva has told The Times that he wants the 24-year-old to be at Goodison Park next season, but the latest report in The Sun is not good news for the Toffees.

According to the British tabloid, if Chelsea’s ban stays and the Blues are unable to make any signings in the summer transfer window, then they will keep Zouma in the first team for the 2019-20 campaign.

Chelsea have finished in the top four of the Premier League table this season and have reached the final of the Europa League as well.
