Real Madrid is undergoing a period of transition. It was a poor season from their regards, but with Zinedine Zidane at the helm again, they are ready to go again next season. They will presumably have some new players in training, with some others exiting.

According to reports from Sky Sports, Luka Jovic has completed a move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid. The move is rumoured to be of around the £53m fee. However, no one can say it is not worth it.

Luka Jovic is one of the best strikers in the world this season. With Eintracht Frankfurt, he has scored 27 goals and provided six assists across all competitions. This made him the third top goal scorer in the Bundesliga behind Robert Lewandowski and Paco Alacer.

Frankfurt reached the semifinals of the Europa League only to be knocked out by Chelsea, in a tie which Jovic scored in. It is an incredible achievement for Frankfurt, one which would not be possible without the work of Jovic up front.

Karim Benzema is ageing and there’s no denying it. He ages at 31 years old and he isn’t getting any younger. While Benzema is still very able to play the strikers role for another season, it’s good to see that Real Madrid is considering life without him. He is not permanent, that’s for sure.

Luka Jovic brings an abundance of versatility. His trademark is his finishing, however, he is also able to find the right spaces and link the play on the break. Not that Real Madrid is a counter-attacking team, but should they ever need to attack on the break, then Jovic will be their go-to guy.

Do you think a move to Real Madrid will benefit Luka Jovic?
