Xiaomi India has confirmed that the Redmi Note 7S will replace the Redmi Note 7 in India. Today, it is for the first time that the Redmi Note 7S goes on sale. Interested buyers will be able to buy the Redmi Note 7S from Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Mi Preferred partners. The sale will kick off at 12 noon.

Xiaomi launched the third Redmi Note of the year in India earlier this week. It is the Redmi Note 7S. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7S is launched in the country for starting price of Rs 10,999. This price is for the base model of the phone that comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. As Xiaomi India confirms the Redmi Note 7S will replace the Redmi Note 7 in India. Today, it is for the first time that the Redmi Note 7S goes on sale. Interested buyers will be able to buy the Redmi Note 7S from Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Mi Preferred partners. The sale will kick off at 12 noon.

It must be noted that this is a flash sale. This means that stocks will be limited. So, interested buyers must be quick at booking the Redmi Note 7S before it goes out-of-stock. The question now is, should you buy the Redmi Note 7S for Rs 10,999? My answer should be: Yes, go for the Redmi Note 7S if you’re looking to buy a good all rounder phone for around Rs 10,000 – Rs 11,000. The good bit is, the Redmi Note 7S comes in funky colours like — Sapphire Blue, Oxny Black, and Ruby Red.

I have been using the Redmi Note 7S for some days now and believe that it is one of the best phones one can get at Rs 11,000 in India right now. The Redmi Note 7S comes with a 48MP primary camera on the back. That’s one of the key highlights of the Redmi Note 7S. Interestingly the phone is priced around Rs 3,000 less than the Redmi Note 7 Pro yet sports the same camera setup as the Pro version. The Redmi Note 7S includes 48MP + 5MP camera setup on the back panel while on the front the phone includes 13MP sensor for clicking selfies.

Besides the camera, the Redmi Note 7S is exactly the same as the Redmi Note 7. This means the Redmi Note 7S comes with Snapdragon 660 processor, 6.3-inch LCD display, dot drop notch, 4000mAh battery, rear mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock support, among other things. On the software front, the phone runs Android 9 Pie with customised MIUI 10 on top.

After using the Redmi Note 7S for some days now I believe it is one of the best phones one can get at this price segment. According to me the best part about the Redmi Note 7S is its camera, battery and design. Interestingly the Redmi Note 7S similar to the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with Night mode and I feel it is one of the best camera features of the Redmi Note 7S.

This is what I said about the Redmi Note 7S camera in the quick review of the phone earlier this week:

“The Redmi Note 7S manages to click pretty detailed pictures with great colours in daylight. As I said in the Redmi Note 7 Pro’s review for the Redmi Note 7S too the Night mode is my favourite camera mode. The Redmi Note 7S night mode clicks great low-light pictures with accurate colours and lots of details. The 13-megapixel camera on the front also manages to click good selfies. I will have more to say about the Redmi Note 7S camera performance in the full review of the phone but for now it seems that extra Rs 1000 that Xiaomi is asking for the Redmi Note 7S over the regular Note 7 is worth it.”

We will be out will the full review of the Redmi Note 7S very soon. Stay tuned.
