He’s been married to his wife Belinda ‘BJ’ Irons for more than a decade.
And Nova radio host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, 42, dedicated a cringeworthy love song to her on Thursday.
In a video shared to Fitzy & Wippa‘s Facebook page, the former AFL star belted out the eyebrow-raising song with the help of legendary race caller Darren Flindell.
‘Been together for 13 years, we’ve been married for 11, I’m not repenting Israel Falou, because I’m already here in heaven,’ Fitzy sang.
‘It was love, it fit like a glove… I knew you were going to be my wife from that very moment, you said to your friend who is that f***ing bogan?
‘You were the Queen of the skies, flying around with Virgin, I was in Big Brother trying to get away from Merlin.’
He added: ‘You’ve hit a fairly big jackpot, it’s like back a total roughie in the trots.’
Darren refused to read the line: ‘BJ has married the best bloke of all time’.
‘I’m not reading this, it’s a protest and if it’s upheld, no I’m not reading this,’ Darren protested.
Fitzy replied: ‘Just read it, It’s pretty simple, it’s a love song for my wife!’
Fitzy and Belinda first started dating in 2006 and got married two years later.
They both share two sons, Hewie, 9, and Lenny, 5.
